Ultima X: Odyssey - Preview @ ActionTrip

Joining the deluge of Ultima X: Odyssey news lately is ActionTrip who have put together a preview. Here's a clip:
The game boasts the usual set of features you can expect to find in any RPG these days. The basic idea of the game revolves around creating your ideal character and preparing him for many different quests and combat situations; from melee battles, ranged combat (archery), spell casting, etc. So yeah, basically, most of your tasks will involve treasure hunts and exploring various dangerous locations infested by monsters. Each quest can be completed single-handedly or in groups. The interesting thing, and rather welcomed feature, is that all character classes (even healers) will be able to wonder, fight, and complete quests on their own. This aspect is going to appeal to those players who prefer to go through the game unaccompanied by other avatars.

I sure hope it will come to pass at release that you can still go through the game and complete all quests solo.Alot of people,me included, like to solo mainly and join a group once in awhile.Could this be the mmorpg I've been waiting for, hmmmm I wonder?

I'm sort of the same way when it comes to gameplay. I've been trying to be more social but it's hard to change years of single player tendencies. Anyway, all the info that I'm amassing on UXO seems to point to plenty of single player type options for play. I think the private zones are probably the best indiciation that soloing may be a good possibility.
