Question: Dungeon Respawn on Quests

I have not done alot of random walking around and exploring. Most of my travels to dungeons/tombs have been quest related. My questions is this for anyone that might have experienced it:

If I clear out a dungeon/tomb and later in the game get a quest to "kill x person" or "find x item" from that same dungeon, will it respawn with the person and/or item I need to find? Or is the person/item there the first time I cleared it out and I might have broaken the quest in some way.

More curious than anything. I don't want to miss out on a nice quest because I pillaged a place before I should have.

Thanks!

in my limited experience, the non important npcs won't be there until the quest had been triggered so that you can't screw it up

I went into a tomb early in the game and there was a skull (“Some Bodies Skull”), I didn't take it because it didn't have any great value and sure enough later I had to go and get it for a quest.

I wondered if I had carted it off the first time I found it, and then sold or dropped it somewhere, would one have been there when I went back?
