Lord Andre cleaned out the sewers???

I'm playing the game again as a mage and when I was still guildless I took the quest from Lord Andre to search and destroy the thieves' guild. As usual after joining a guild the quest stayed. All the other times I played I killed Cassia and the other thieves in a later chapter, after all they're pretty strong.

I'm now in chapter three and talked to Lord Andre about it. He suddenly said someyhing like "forget it, I've send some men down in the sewers and they cleaned it out." They've killed Cassia and Ramirez (I had killed Jesper already to get his key).

How come??
I can't remember that I told Lord Andre that I'd found the hide-out. What have I done wrong? Did I wait to long or what?

You must have told Lord Andre about the guild's location, maybe you did it by accident without realising it, or prehaps it's a bug.

I must have told him the location, I guess. I don't think it's a bug, I've done the guest four times before and never had any problems.

Thanks

In my game I cannot do Nagur's quest after I became a magician. He says he knows who I am even though I am wearing different armour. That really sucks. I can't complete the quest about Bosbar's bow or learn pickpocket.

Joe man

You could try going to Edda(The fish woman, that sounds so wrong ) and there is a possibility that Attila will be there, then you can administer extreme pain to the upper area of his anatomy.

No Attila in my game. I don't think he appears until you complete all 3 quests.

Attila is the guy who gives you the key to the sewers or you'll have to beat the key out of him. Strange you have no attila in your game.

Atilla appears when you have done the three "thief" quests:
"Errand boy for Nugar"
"Let Rengaru go"
"Don't turn in Halvor the fishdealer"

(not real quests, but you guys would have figured that)
This is the friendly way into the thieves guild, Attilla will give you the key.

You can also take the unfriendly way and betray one or more of the three people mentioned above, Atilla also appears but wants to kill you.

Not strange at all. If you are unable to complete any of the 3 quests sem listed above, Attila won't appear. There are no other ways to get into the sewer without cheating as far as I know. It's just really annoying that I have quests on my journal that I can never finish since I can't get into the sewer. It just gives me an unsatisfying feeling.

Can you not report him to Lord Andre, then Attila should appear.

No. You cannot report him because he says there is no special job for servants of the monestary or something like that. You can't report him until he gives you the special job.

Allright this is getting interesting!

Can you be more specific. Nagur doesn't want you as an errand-boy because you're already a novice or is it the barkeeper Kardif, who doesn't want to tell you about a "special job".

I always become a novice very late, so I did the quests long before I joined the monastery.

I asked Kardif about special job in chapter 1. I didn't follow thru with it because at that point I wasn't strong enough to kill that two mercenaries in Akil's farm. I wanted both kills for myself for 250 xp. After that, I forgot about it until I come back from valley of mines. In chapter 3, I was already part of the high counsel. I talked to Nagur, but he said he knows who I am even though I am wearing a different armour. He said "there is no special job for a member of the monestary."

You know, Gothic 2 is really great. I've played it several times and I'm still finding new and undiscovered things. Like this, I play the game everytime the same way, just some minor changes like guilds, but the time I do certain quests is the same most of the times.
