Well, I always wondered why he had been helping me in the courtyard battle, remember?

When I used him as a referee for Round 2 of the Mud vs. Baal netbek fight yesterday, none of the combatants objected (as they had done when I tried to use Aaron as a ref - the Baal, at least, fled in panic). So I decided to do the logical thing, possess him and look up his stats, and what did I see?
No guild.

Quite right, Skip loses his guild tag in chapter 4, just like Scorpio, Cavalorn and Stone. So he is, at least in practice, another quitter .

I'm just a little astonished about the fact that (since he stays in his shop) he's not automatically attacked by other guards.

Go Skip! I knew he wasn't evil at heart, even if he did kind of sound like an idiot when I talked to him. Maybe that whole guild thing is a glitch though, because -- for me, at least -- he acts like we've never met before once I go to talk to him (even when I was formerly a guard, and bought stuff from him regularly.) I usually end up beating him up, but not killing him. >

Why buy from Skip? At the start of each new Chapter he would get his regular beating.

Probably due to the multiple beatings each chapter.

The magic vendor in the swamp and the potion seller in the mage part of New Camp were my personal picks. Having... oh... 1600 healing potions and 300 of the 100 hp heals isn't a bad thing. 211 potions of velocity is cool for cruising the land in style as well.

That's not very nice of you, EX, but then, what did I expect ?

Oh, and Val, yes, I guess you're right, must be the blows to his head. But to Skip's credit I have to admit that he's a darned good cheerleader !

Okay, I admit it. I erred.

Both Stone and Skip lose their guild tag in chapter 5, not 4, which would explain why Gig got whacked by Skip when she entered the camp in chapter 4.

My fault!
But that's what science is all about, trial and error .

I'm not exactly a jujuman... but I agree, at least Gig has the right to beat me up if she wants to .

Uhh... speaking of strange behavior, what was up with Lester when you go tell him about the Old Mine. I mean, really... you tell him about the greatest tragedy in the colony up to date, and all he does is yell in different voice sets?? And that talk about Y'berion... either he had one major swampweed trip before you got there, or he's finally snapped.

Nah, they're talking about how Skip never attacks you when you go back to Old Camp.
