I mean, this is a very nice game... I really enjoy playing it, i've even went to school without having slept all night for three times because this game, so I really do like it, but...
DON'T U FIND LOAD TIMES JUST A BIT ANNOYING? I mean, i have a 1.2 Ghz (or 1400+ Ggz ) 128 DDRAM, Asus V7700 Deluxe, MSI motherboard, bla bla (a system which i do not consider to be outdated) and on a clean system, with brand new drivers it takes about 2 MINUTES to load a f*** savegame? Don't u find that just a bit annoying??? |

the loading time gets a lot shorter by upgrading to 256 MB or more RAM.

Add memory, like they said. I have a slow system (a mere 550 mhz) but my load time for a saved game is right at 38 seconds. I have 512 meg ram. Why on earth would ANYBODY buy or make a machine with big boy processor, fancy motherboard and a piddling 128 meg memory?????? That's barely enough to run Windows by itself much less any serious programs.

When I bought this game I only had 128M RAM, but as cheap as RAM is now, $15-$20, for a 128M chip, it was well worth it for me to buy one. The game only cost me $30, so even with the RAM it didn't cost me anymore than most games do when they first come out. |

Hm, I thought loading time was a bit long, too, but since I've been playing AvP2, I changed my mind.
Those are long loading times.

IMHO Gothic is unplayable with 128MB. 384-512MB is perfect. |

Why this configuration u ask? Well, it's quite simple: I had a limited amount of money when I upgraded and i decided it was smarter to buy a MSI motherboard rather than a cheaper one and more RAM. I intend to buy another 384, so i'd have a wonderfull 512 DDR. That sounds really nice. But until I raise some money 128 will have to do! |
