Anyone ever tried stealing the list back from Diego?

I gave the list from the old mine to Diego thus completing his test of faith. I was wondering if it would be possible to steal it back from him so I could give it to the new camp as well. Has anyone ever pickpocketed Diego to see what he carries?
Can it be done? I've never even learned pickpocketing yet, is it worth it?

You can't pickpocket major characters and Diego is invincible, so no.

I wonder why they even bothered to put pickpocketing in the game then. What's the the use if you can only use it on diggers and guards?

Try pickpocketing Mud. If you pull out a sexy pink teddy, wouldn't it be worth the skill points then?
