I am new to the game and I read that you just hit the CNTRL key to sneak. I tried that, but nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong? |

If you sneak is working a sneak simbol wil come up.
Sneaking only works if npc's can't see you.
The higher your skill the more likely they don't see you.

Oh, forget about sneak. Just gain a few levels and you can stomp in and kill anything and everything in sight. Very.. uh. rewarding  Just ask my smelly old nord fighter.. |

At the beginning of the game, sneaking can be VERY difficult (especially if you have it in your misc skills). Pressing the CTRL button should make your character slightly crouch which means s/he is trying to attempt a sneak and if the sneak symbol doesn't show up, just keep practicing some ways behind someone's back and you might have the sneak symbol flash on and off after a minute
If you don't take advantage of keeping the CTRL button depressed with something heavy and go out for lunch or something, you can expect this will take a long time to raise by playing it normally. |
