redistribution of a spell: wave of ice

We only get a lot of good spells in C5 which is rather late . If we can get wave of ice in circle 4 (C3), it will make the use of spells more balanced for a mage. What is your opinion?

But it would make the mage even more powerful than he already is. If we would get them earlier they should be tweaked down a little too

Just hex edit the gothic.dat file. Since with NotR, I want to put in my spell rebalance package to make it a bit easier to be a mage. I also remove out right exploits such as now if you beat up Brahim the map maker and keep re-saling stuff make to him for infinite money; he will be mad nowe and you must go to andre and pay 50 gold befor he will do business with you again.

So yes the exploits are still there, but you will have to work for them; no more easy 20,000 gold within a few minutes. Same goes for the Mercenary sword making (limited how many a day you can make) and beating up the other smith in the harbor (I made him immortal). This is a seperate Spell-Exploit Balance Mod for NotR; and so I say it makes the game much more tasteful for the Mage class. Would you not like to use more of them "Worthless Spells?" they are fun to have. Also for early chapter I would make certain quest more for the mage and alter the experience given to make them more competitive. Example The Oblivian spell cast, make it cost 50 mana so only a dedicated Mage would do it; then giv 5x the experience, or just more reward for mage only class.

I will see if I can make the small fire storm available in the lower circle; but then text needs to be changed. Maybe there is another spell there can be used but make it stronger in its stead.

I don't mean all of the late spells. Only wave of ice.

There is a way to make it similar to what you want. read my post carefully. It makes the game much more fun for the mage. Spell Rebalance Mod and my Exploit Mod. Combo.

This is a hard hacked game file gothic.dat. Install it once and you are good to go. Plus you can always remove it without damage. Easy and harmless.

We have the best stuff.

I have to make a new gothic.dat for the Raven version. You will see them after I test them. Sorry that I did not mention that.
