downloaded demo, can see movie after that all i hear are voices--screen is white, no picture--what do i do? help

My Gothic always ran fine. But I recently formated my HD and did a fresh install on everything.
I have a Geforce2 GTS/PRO and I installed the original drivers that came with the card.
I had the same problem you and countless others have. The screen was gray.
So, I updated to a later driver and now it works fine again.
What kind of video card do you have? Try getting uo to date drivers.

I had some problems with the demo similar to the one you experienced. The updated Detonator driver fixed everything.

Yes. A well known driver issue.
