How do you beat up Lefty without attracting the attention of the RiceLord. I am level 5 and no matter which way I go from when Lefty starts to attack me for not doing all the water delivery, the ricelord always joins in.
Finally I was able to run away far enough that Lefty did not follow. Now when I approach him, he won't even talk to me. Did I mess this up and do I need to restore to an older save? |

He's not really important for the game plot.
I just avoided him and came back when I was strong enough to kick my sword up his ass (and the ricelord).

Lefty will attack you if you don't deliver at least one water a day. If you want to take him out, hide in the little storage shed and shoot him with out arrows, or lure him in and attack him with your sword.
As for me, I crammed my sword up his arse.

Just avoid him until you are strong enough to beat him. When I decided I was tired of it I couldn't beat him and the rice lord at the same time so I went into the rice lord's hut an snuck up behind him to take him out first. Then I took out Lefty.

Beat him up but do not kill him. If you keep him alive and let him talk to you, then you get exp. If you talk to him again, then you get to bully him around a little. After that, stick your sword up his ass.
