Good enough game?

I just played a demo of this game and it seems pretty fun but also hard. Im not sure if I want to buy it or not. I just want some information about the game. Like how many NPCs are there and things like that. No spoilers though. Thx.

Just get the game. I thought the demo sucked but I love the game. It's gooood stuff! About 60 hours long and I have no idea how many NPC there are. Just get it. I got it from Gamestop.com for $20.00....and that's a good deal for a great game.

Buy, Buy, Buy!!

This is great game. I'm playing the thing for about the 7th time, and I am still learning new tricks and finding more stuff. There are approx. 40 active NPC's in the game, but there are about 100 that you can speak to and who are there for fillers. They can all be killed as well, if you want to. It is a hard game, because there is little direction given in the game itself. But the PDF support file is wonderful. It is a walkthrough, but it doesn't give you spoilers of how to do what you need. All the level maps are in it, and a list of all the items of the game and what they are for. But you have to figure out how to use them, when to use them, and all the secret ways of doing stuff to finish the game. Hope this helps you decide to buy. It has a lot to offer.

I would think most people who enjoyed the Ultima Underworld games would like Arx Fatalis.

The puzzles are too vague; ie not enough clues and hints scattered about.

Combat can be tough; I'm a fan of turn based combat, but it's not too ridiculously difficult.

It's a very nice looking game, the graphics are quite good, and the sound is very effective. I enjoy playing in a dark room with headphones with the EAX turned on. Creepy.

This is a game to be savored, not rushed through. Thorough exploration is definitely rewarded and makes the game easier in the long run.

Recommended, and if you can find it for $20.00 grab it....
