Thief 3: Eidos Site Updated

Eidos have put up a product info page for Thief 3 including a fairly detailed story description - in fact they might be considered spoilers, so be warned! Here's the intro:

You are Garrett, the master thief. Rarely seen and never caught, Garrett is the best that ever was. Able to sneak past any guard, pick any lock, and break into the most ingeniously secured residences. Garrett steals from the wealthy and gives to himself, making his living in the dark and foreboding City. Here crime and corruption are commonplace, wealthy nobles prey on the poor and each other, and magic and machinery coexist uneasily. World weary and cynical, Garrett wants nothing more than to be left alone to ply his trade. But things never work out that way.

Reads good. Sounds like we'll get to do some new thieving, against the Keepers and a Museum. Same old save the world story though. I was hoping we'd just get to roam an open city, but it looks like levels again.

Only worry about the "Monsters" the mechs and zombies and Tricksters minions weren't done so well, and detracted from the game. Hope they are more like the Haunts, which were so creepy and a challenge to any true sneaker.

But I'm already excited. I've broken out Thief 2 again for practice. Time for some more taffing!
