Ultima X: Odyssey Preview @ HomeLan

HomeLan Fed have posted their preview of Ultima X: Odyssey, hot from their trip to San Francisco:
The game was described by the Ultima X development team as their version of a single player Ultima game that has been brought to an online environment. The game is heavily quest based, either with individual quests or with a group of up to eight other players. The development team stated they want to create a total of 300 unique quests in Ultima X by the time it launches. Furthermore, the dev team promises that you won’t have to go to a predetermined location to get quests; people who have quests should come to you. Also, the dev team stated that there will be a loose sort of story arc in Ultima X, although not as tied down as those of, say, the Asheron’s Call series.

What it could have been far outweighs what it actually is.
