Arx Fatalis vs Morrowind for Xbox @ Daily Game

Daily Game has an article entitled Head-to-Head Preview: Arx Fatalis and Morrowind: Game of the Year. Apparently with so many good Xbox titles coming you won't be able to afford all of them and since Arx Fatalis and Morrowind are both RPGs...well, you can't have both of them so they have to slug it out to find the winner. My suggestion is buy both of them but Arx Fatalis wins if you're curious...

Actually non of the games "wins" according to this preview - they rightly state that each caters to a somewhat different type of player.
For myself as a big fan of Morrowind, I found Arx Fatalis slightly disappointing, not because of the linearity, but because I was often lost about what I was supposed to do next - without a walkthrough I would not have finished the game. I still agree that both games are worth trying and succeed in their own rights. However the real competition for Arx is Gothic II in my opinion, those two games are more similar in what they are trying to achieve than either one is to Morrowind.

On re-reading you're quite right. I've modified the newsbit.
