It's my first time WIZ 8 and I LOVE IT
group-based, first-person, turn based combat style RULES !
by the way!!! does anyone know of another recent game in this style
oh please no action combat, solo adventuring, iso/3rd person perspective
My party is lvl 13 (fighter&bard) /12 (others) now after the rattkin tree
Lizardman Fighter m
Dracon Valkryie f
Human Samurai m
Fellpurr Ranger m
Hobbit Bard f
Elf Bishop f
note: I don't like NPCs, wanna create all chars myself, but am I missing out on sth. in wiz8 ?
In my opion a very good combination, I have 3 characters who can melee,
3 who can heal, 1 crossbow specialist and most of all 5 who can spell-cast (bard with instruments)
At first I considered the sam and ranger a little weak but now they have many swings /shoots and can use magic decently (my ranger is the best healer because he is always first in turn) and critical hits slowly start to increase too! |

You can not create all characters yourslef.
You have 6 slots for your own characters and 2 slots for hireable NPCs.
These slots are really reserved. I mean, if you will make only 4 characters, you can still hire only 2 NPC, not 4. And you can not create 8 characters, only 6...
Good luck with game... :] |

Well there is Wizardry 7, but it is some 8-10 years old now, so it might be a bit out-dated, certainly the graphics etc are no where near Wiz8, but the basic gameplay is of the similar style.

The Might and Magic series is probably the closest you'll get to Wizardry. I'd recommend 6 or 7. MM9, which came out a couple months ago, was a big letdown to most M&M fans. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.
