Thank god you guys are having framrate problems!!

Cause I was scared that I was the only one. WTF is this? I bought a top of the line system not even 6 months ago and now Morrowind is running like crap. I get about 7-15 FPS which is just wrong man, just plain ole wrong.

I just did some over clocking and see a bare difference. I have:

a AMD 1.4 ATHLON
768 MB RAM
RADEON 8500 retail OVERCLOCKED to get about 7200 points on 3D mark.

I don't mind low Frames on an RPG, but frames this low, just aren't fair.

Have you tried turning down the optional eye candy?

Shadows and AI are big culprits..

Also, try the unofficial "patch".. Lots of folks having good luck with that!

The Radeon 8500's pixel shading is it's top feature. Even if I turn it off, I don't loose performance.

I am playing at a rez of 800x600..and the distance view is set at the middle.

What does A.I. distancing do?

BTW my desktop is set at 1280x1024.

I get bad frames from time to time on Dungeon Siege, but I don't mind. The problem is when the frames in Morrowind drop suddenly.. It makes the game seem like it is skipping.

And the game still stutters.
