Stats Q??

Please somebody clarify this for me.

Marksman is related to Agility. Lets assume that I have 100 in marksman (I can't go any higher), so what's the difference between having Agility of 40 and 80.

The same goes for the long blade to strength, if I have 100 in long blade and the strength of 50 I should hit every time with less damage, right? Comparing to having 150 where I should have critical hit every time I swing?

Am I missing something here?

Nothing like a guy who doesn't know anything jumping in to give his opinion, but here goes:

I'm thinking attributes have affects on base action types, not necessarily individual skills. We've seen the proof that raising WIL raises your chance to cast all spells, not just WIL-based schools. I'll bet that raising INT has the same effect. As far as AGI goes, we know from the description that it increases your chance to hit. Whether you're using marksman or even a STR-based skill like axe, an increased AGI should give you a better chance to hit. When you're swinging an axe, an increased STR gives you no advantage to hit but instead an increase to damage. This same increase to damage can be had when you're using a spear, even though spear is based on END. I believe that the attribute associated with a particular skill only matters when it's advancement time.

That's how the system's worked in the other games of the series. A high strength helped damage across the melee board, a high agility helped hit, a high will helped resist certain spells...
