I don't know what's wrong, I have all the recommended requirements. I have a Pentium 3 933, a 32mb video card (S3 Savage 4), and the sound card seems to be fine. I've got LOADS of hard drive space. The problem is the game freezes/hangs for no reason I can see (there are also graphic color glitches, but they don't interfere with gameplay and I can live with those). If I need new drivers for my S3 Savage 4 then please tell me WHERE?!! Any suggestions will be apreciated.

The Savage4 is a slow graphics chip, but other people got Gothic running stable and without visual problems on it. So updating the drivers is a good idea.
S3 is a part of Via nowadays. Search for them on http://www.viaarena.com . The drivers were there two months ago.

I tried going to that website, but it didn't really help. It's confusing as HELL, the only thing there ID program told me is that I have a Savage4 GT/Pro 395-398, whatever the hell THAT means. I couldn't figure out which set of drivers to get so I just downloaded all the ones for Win98 (they were in zip files), but guess what, NONE of them WORK!!! The setup program just gives me some stupid messege about how it can't complete the setup and how I should check the LOG... Sigh. I'm at the end of my rope, I really wanted to play (also it's going to be a pain to try and return it, I bought it from Future Shop and their return policies stink). I need more help (and more information), PLEASE?!!!

You´re right, there are no drivers with this id on the site.

Do you have a graphics *card* or onboard graphics?
If you have onboard graphics you should check your mainboard manual. The drivers on the S3 site are sorted by the northbridge part of the chipset. Example: VT8364
