Need help! novice sweeping task

for my first novice task I was asked to sweep out all the novices chambers. I got a broom and I got the wind scroll for whatshisface so he is helping me now. but now what do I do? whatshisface is just sweeping the one room and I dont know if Im supposed to just stand and sweep each room for 30 minutes or what.

We have to stop meeting like this

Just ask all the unnamed novices, one will help no prob, one will help if you already have help, and one will help for 50 gp. Once all four are sweeping, go back to Parlan.
