SWG: Jump to Lightspeed - Pre-Order Available

This just in from LucasArts:
Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed Pre-Order Now Available!

Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed is the first major addition to North America's number one science fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).

Pre-order now with GameStop or Electronics Boutique and while supplies last, receive guaranteed access to the Jump to Lightspeed beta test in October and an exclusive in-game ground vehicle: the Naboo Flash Speeder.

As I continue to like the ground game in SWG less and less, I find myself becoming less and less interested in this expansion. I may still pre-order though, to try it out. Gotta admit twitch-based space combat in a MMORPG is interesting enough in itself to warrent buying it. Somehow though I'm sure SOE will screw it up.

GameStop or EBGames actually have a quote from an official (regarding the free beta slot you get when pre-ordering through them) saying that beta is expected to take place between October 12 and 26 or something like that. I'm not sure about the exact dates but I know it was just two weeks. I have one word for that: Retar... no, wait, there are just no words for it .
