Localization
   

As a resident of Japan for 10 years and an avid gamer, this is not surprising. Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft are all fairly popular with Japanese gamers but most people play on US servers rather than localized ones.

This is because there were no localized servers when EQ and DAoC came out. These greedy companies and their lucrative distribution deals do not have any common sense.

They fail to see the irony of a Massively Multiplayer Online Game played on the World Wide Web seperated into regional servers.
