First I must say I almost took this game back due to Gamespot's ridiculous rating, I then returned home and read some player's reviews and I must say I'M HAPPY I KEPT THIS GEM, it's the most enjoyable, beautiful and realistic RPG I played thus far.... it's mind blowingly incredible 
as for my question, I'm trying to get to the other camps to see what they're about and to carry out some quests, but I'll be damned if I could find them... I unfortunately found MUD and got my ass kicked in the arena and other stuff but I'll like to get to the other camps to see what's up... can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction? do you need a map?

Ok.... There are people in the Old Camp who'll take you to either the sect or the new camp. If you talk to Thorus (ask him to give you the test) and keep pressing him about it, he'll finally tell you that he wants to get rid of a guy named Mordrag. He'll also tell you where in the camp Mordrag is. Go talk to Mordrag, and rather than fight him or provoke him, tell him that he's got a problem. Mordrag will then offer to lead you to the new camp.
In the market area there is a guy Baal something or other (I can never remember his name) He's a novice from the sect camp who is trying to recruit new members. He'll lead you to the sect camp
