Is the Meteor sword supposed to disappear?

Is the meteor sword supposed to disappear when you enchant it? I used the dragon egg on it, and then used an 'enchant item' scroll on it and it simply disappeard from my hands!

I thought the point of all this was to create a weapon that would be capable of killing akbaa....

Sword

No its not. it is suppose to be there for you to use. Search the area with the mouse and see if it just fell into Pixil limbo as I call it. It is there but not showing up on the screen for some reason. I have dropped a few things into this nowhere land and by just scanning the area for the name to show up I can get it back. Otherwise I hope you have a recent save. Don't forget to check the ceilings and walls for it. A strange little pain that happens. Good Luck!!

Thanks cmc.

For some reason when I used the scroll to enchant it while it was equipped, it disappeared, however when I used the scroll on the sword when it was in my inventory, it worked fine. You're probably right it dropped and got lost somewhere, but removing it from the equipped position worked too.

Disappearing stuff

Great, glad you got it back. That has happened to me several times on a lot of different things. I dropped a scroll during battle in the crypts and never did find it. So far I have always found the stuff, ususally in the ceiling or walls. A clitch I hope they fix in the next one, but one I can overlook as the game is so great. Have fun. Hope this is the last problem you run into.
