here's my lowdown on PC:-

P3 933Mhz, 320mb SDRAM, MSI 32mb GF2MX, 28.32 detonator, SBLive!Value, latest drivers, ASUS CUV-4E mobo. safedisc cracked, morrowind.ini has been tweaked including AGP aperture = 256 etc.

1024x768x32bit, AI = 1/4 from min, View distance = 3/4 from max, shadow = none, sound = high,

7-18fps in town, 15-30fps outdoors, 20-50fps indoors. quite playable and still very enjoyable. though i'm planning to upgrade to a GF4Ti4200 cos of pixel-shaded H20

Mine is slower than yours... ;-)

I'm going to buy a geforce 4 ti4200 next week, but while I'm waiting, I play Morrowind with a Duron 800, 640 MB ram and Matrox g450 16MB!!! ( any lower?) And I enjoy it a lot... Of course, I have to turn off all details and use 640x480 resolution, but who cares. And I use the safedisc-fix, of course. Framerates are acceptable, and the gameplay is fantastic. Two, no - three thumbs up for Morrowind!
However, I'm really looking forward to getting a geforce4.... Then I'm going sightseeing in Vvardenfell!

Anyway, even though I don't have a geforce2 mx, I guess my point is that you should be able to enjoy the game, too.

Two machines both with GF2MX.
1 with Duron 900MHz and the other with 1.7XP both play the game acceptably.

My system:

AMD Athlon 900 Mhz
256 Mb RAM
Geforce 2 MX 32 Mb

My FPS:

Outside: from like 10 up to 50
Inside: 20-70 fps

I have overclocked my card alittle with power strip... dont know if it makes any change. Anyway, i can run the game pretty smooth, at 800x600...

performance

Athlon 900mhz
320mb ram
GF2 mx 400 64mb
Win XP

Got the game-installed it-everything on default-nothing added-nothing subtracted. Have played about 20 hrs and the game runs great. In fact, most of the time it runs better than Dungeon Siege did.

Will be upgrading soon to a XP 1800 cpu, and then to one of the GF4 Ti cards.

Intel P3 1Ghz
32 Meg GF2MX
256 Megs RAM

I have view set to half, shadows off, ai distance at 1/4. Runs smooth for a few hours until the memory leak hits. FPS around 15 to 30 in a town, and 40 + indoors.

I play at 1064x768 32 bit. For me it actually runs faster than playing a 640 or 800... and it looks better, so it's a win/win situation.

celeron 566 running at 850, 512mb ram, geforce 2mx 32mb.
win98 se.
In towns I get somewhere between 5 and 15FPs,
in the wilderness most of th time above 20.
Dunno in caves, over 30 I guess.
The settings I have is view distance almost maxed out, shadows on and AI on for about
25%. I play in 1024x769, soundquality is low (which is great compared to all older games).

I think it is very playable.

My experiences with NVIDA cards.

When I bought Morowind I also bought a PNY Geoforce 4 TI 4600 video card.
From the start the game was very choppy and the graphics weren't what I expected, and the game crashed about every 3 or 4 hours.
Then after 1 week the video card chashed and burned ( on a weekend, of course).
So I put my old Geoforce 2 MX 400 (64meg ram) back in and loaded up morowind. The difference was amazing, the graphics were great, game was a lot smoother, and I played about 8 hours straight without a crash.
I replaced my bad geoforce 4 with one from Visiontek and put it back in. (hey the darn thing cost $400). I haven't been able to tell any difference between the new card and my old Geoforce 2, and the game still crashes every 3 or 4 hours, and have tried all of the tweeks available.

My settings:
I play at 800x600 32 bit (bad eyesite).
I haveset the view distance to half, shadows off, ai distance at 1/4, Pixel shading off. I have never checked the framerate.
My system
Intel Pentium 4 1.5ghz
512 meg ram
Windows Me

Well, brother is running on just a 450 with a GeForce 2 MX en it runs averagely smooth, so...
At least it's well playable, it's not that it stutters so much you're going crazy, just smooth

Get new Drivers

Getting the new drivers from Nvidia's website will solve the exit house crash. I read it on another forum and it worked for me as well, seems to affect some Geforce 2 MXs
