in my opinion i would say that the rough two hander is the best in ch. 1. You can find these on several warrriors, so you can baet them up and use oblivian to get their swords.

If you have the patience and time you can use the dragon slicer found near the circle of the sun. You can train your strength up to 90 by using Torlof at the mercenary camp and can train your 2h fighting skill up to 60 by using cord, who is also at the mercenary camp. Since getting up to such a high level in the first chapter takes some time as well as some fighting guile, you may want to just stick with the rough 2hander, but other 2h swords are available. Rusty, light, regular 2 handers, and paladins 2 handers are all available in the first chapter. Note this: when training your 1h and 2h weapons skills try to buy the training guides from the rare items merchant in the upper quarter, it will be a bit expensive up you will save yourself a level. If you want information detailed beyond this just ask and I will be happy to help.

I was able to use the dragon slicer in Chapter 1, but is indeed only for expierenced players ( about lvl 15) to get it, it is guarded by some powerful undead warriors. You can get the Dragon Slicer by buying it in later chapters, but if you really want to know how to get it use the search function on this forum.
