cannot use action button in GOTHIC???

anyone know why i cant use the action button to do anything in the game? tried rebinding it, and tried using mouse1, but still doesnt work :/

do you know how to use it?
you know it needs to be held down while you press an arrow key.. depending on what you want to do. action+up = opening things, like chests and looting bodies. it also activates things in ur inv..
