Star Wars KotOR 2: The Sith Lords - Review @ ActionTrip |
|
Star Wars KotOR 2: The Sith Lords has received a bit of a serve from ActionTrip with their review opening with some caustic comments, the label of "unstable" and a score of 73%. Here's that intro:
Being of the first KOTOR, I admit I was days until of sequel. Sure, BioWare handling, but had full that Obsidian would well. I'm sad you that the having a fantastic story, does also mixed bag, as Obsidian obviously expertise to truly or even mildly franchise.

Now let me ask you this, did you enjoy reading the previous passage, because if you had, I know a nice, quiet place we can send you. When the men in the white coats come to get you, go quietly, do as they ask and maybe, just maybe, you may come to grips with reality again. (Ed. - Thank God that was intentional, I was about to call them up myself.) In regards to the opening paragraph, I was merely trying to convey how the game ran for me on Dantooine. Yep, if you happen to have an ATI Radeon card, a high-end AMD-based system with over 1GB of RAM, and all the latest drivers and whatnots installed, this is how the game will run for you on Dantooine. Be prepared for the ultimate in choppy and laggy performance, this is actually good Jedi training because as we all know patience is the Jedi's greatest weapon.
|

Did someone crush this guy's fingers before he typed this up? The next paragraph indicates that an editor went through this story. Hilarious. |

Obviously you are retarded.
If you had bothered reading the second paragraph properly then you would have realised that the crap writing style of the 1st was on purpose.
Idiot. |

Yup just a visitor, thought I would throw this here. The lag on Dantooine can be easily corrected with ATI cards bay adding a single line under the Graphics Options in the SWKotor2.ini file.
Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
Not sure why this is not an option in the Graphics options menu as the same lag was present in the first game as well with these vid cards. |

Alternatively just change the resolution each time you experience lag (generally happens when you enter either a new outdoor region). Doesn't matter WHAT you change it to, down or up, just so long as you change it. I have no idea why this works either. |
