i would make sure to take enchant as a primary skill so you can make deadly arrows

i would say:

Major:
Marksmanship
Light Armor
Enchantment
Destruction
Restoration

Minor:
Alchemy
Alteration
Mysticism
Conjuration
Illusion

all personal preference really.

I can't get arrows to come up as an enchantable item in the enchanting screen. I don't think that you can enchant arrows, you just have to find or buy magic arrows. Enchant is still great to be good at though.

I havent done it yet, but do you have to enchant them individually with 1 gem per arrow, or do they enchant in bulk?

My character isnt proficient in archery, or mysticism(or whatever school enchanting is in).

I hate making my character, i think they should have given me one more primary slot, although i guess that would be a bit unbalancing,

I like battlemages, and Spellswords, and i want to try an Agent

you should try making some Druid Spells in the Editor

Personally I went with the following (for my "Jaqspur"- Bosmer for Long Distance Shooter):

______________________________________
Athletics
Illusion (chamo, para, blind target, etc.)
Light Armor
Longsword (for close combat)
Marksmen
______________________________________
Alchemy
Medium Armor
Restoration
Sneak
Unarmored

I felt it kind of silly to spec Destruction (Marksmen fills the long range role and Longsword close combat).. its redundant and forces you to split your attacks to build both skills. I choose rather to augment my "theme" of archer with a couple alternate schools. You could easily replace Alchemy with Alteration and/or Mysticism, etc.

Just my spin.

I present unto thee

... the Lady Shannara:

Breton, age 32, INT58, WILL62, PERS46, STR50, AGI44.

The Lady was borne under the sign of The Ritual and shown promise with these here skills:

Acrobat 30, Mysticism 22, Light Armor 28, Marks(wo)man 44, Block 46, Athlete 41, LongBlade 45, Destruction 22

Though her early calling doth be as an Archer, the Lady hath turned her attentions to the magickal arts and did do quite well for her own self! She can now Fireball or pincushion her opponents and when all else fails, fry them addlepated brains with her Sword Of Lightning - dangerous object, that.

The Lady Shannara is good to a fault, honest even with thieves and faire to murderers. She hath joined House Redoran and the Mages Guild. Lately, she doth contemplate her future in the Imperial Guardship, as it doth seem less concerned with the citizenry of Vvardenfell and more with its owne designs...

Only time can tell where the Lady wilt go. But being raised an archer hath not stopped her from learning the Arts, and learning it well!

Fare thee greatly

My current character is a Psionic Blademaster. If it has an edge, he can wield, or repair it. Born a Breton, he was raised as a squire where he learned to handle any sharp weapon. He learned at a young age that he had an abnormal ability to alter reality. he had pyrokinetic, and telekinetic abilites, as well as the ability to alter not only others perception of reality, but the very fabric of reality itself. unfortunately, he feared his abilities so he did not train them.

Race: Breton
Specialty: Magic (Innate)
favorite attributes: endurance, speed
Major Skills:
Marksman, Sneak (an accomplished hunter)
speechcraft (you don't spend your days around knights and royalty without learning to manipulate and bully peasants)
Security, Armorer (when your father is the town Smith, you learn a thing or two about locks and metalurgy)
Minor Skills:
Enchant (it helps in many ways to give your master an edge in battle)
longblade, shortblade, spear, and axe (sparring with knights gives a young man a strong base in weapons battle)

The keen amoung you will notice that this combination of skills and race leave him with the potential to become the highest level possible with the current version of the game. all majors start at 30, and all minors at 15, apart from enchant, which is 20. (picking a skill that would start 15 is no use because it would end up not being used to level). I did not do this for the sole purpose of being a 'stat whore', but to make him as diverse as possible, so i could roleplay him however i chose. he doesn't use magiks that are outside the realm of psionics. he can use pyrokinesis to make fireballs, telekinesis to move objects, most of alteration, most of illusion, mark and recall to teleport from mysticism, and he can use his sheer will to heal himself on occasion, but only these through many hours of practice should he overcome his fear of his power. he cannot pick pockets, and does not steal from honest people. he only sneaks to hunt. he only wears armor in a haphazard way, and cannot repair it. he can only repair weapons.
he cannot, and will not use blunt weapons, and abhors daggers, choosing instead short blades and longswords. i'm rambling, i think everyone gets the idea. he is as diverse as possible without being completely unreal.
