Jeez! I seen this box sitting on the display at best buy two weeks ago. I just looked at it and put it back down. I've never seen a review or seen anything about it on the web until a week later so I thought I would give it a whirl and alls I can say is HOLY CRAP! lol

Very good game.

this game reminds me of Betrayal at Krondor. I ran that on a 486 a long time ago and thought that was the most technically advanced game I had the privilage to own.

I was amazed how I could actually see mountains in the distance and even more amazed that If i walked in that direction I could actually walk to the moutain instead of just looking at a static background.

Gothic gives me the same feeling of wonder I held back then playing Betrayal at Krondor but this time its not just the graphics it's the complexity of society and it's inhabitants as well.

Dude, you have no idea how many people I tell to get this game and they go:
Gothic? WTF is that?

then they see it and come back and tell me:
HOLY SH*T thats a great game!!!

This game should be a massive hit, but they didnt do the advertising on it correctly. I was playing the demo like 4 mos before the game ever made it to US...a shame.
