Anti-aliasing (sorry if i spelled that wrong)

Athlon XP 1.1Ghz
512mb PC2100 RAM
Radeon 8500 64mb
Windows XP

Game:
Res: 1024
View: about half
AI: doesnt seem to matter, about 1/5

For all you people turning AA off because you think it'l hit your frame rates, I turned mine on 4x, I noticed no framerate drop, but the game looks 100% nicer. Models look very nice, buildings look very nice, it actually does look nicer than other games like everyone else has been saying.

Try 1600x1200, no FSAA, full view. Should look better and run better.

The radeon 8500 and the Geforce 4 both support 4x aa with minimal frame rate drop.

Not so on the older cards

I've found out that on my system the following works very smoothly:
Resolution on 1152x864 with 2x Anti-aliasing.
View is max
AI is about half
Shadows turned off

I haven't tried 4x AA, or Quincunx yet, but I will give those a try soon to see how they run.

My system: 1.2 Athlon Thunderbird- 512 SDram - Geforce 3 Ti 200 (OC to 200/450) and 40 gig HD, U100 at 7200rpm.

Cranking up fsaa has minimal effect on your framerate because the game is cpu limited. Your high end card has no trouble pumping out the polys being fed to it. So yes, you peeps with gf3 or better, crank up the fsaa and trilinear.

I turned 2X AA on and for some reason things got choppier inside houses, but not much different outside (although things did look nicer). But (and this is the reason I had to turn AA back off) my mouse control freaked out a bit -- was real slow to respond on menus. I have the latest drivers for my Microsoft Explorer mouse, so who knows.

Otherwise I'm getting great performance running at 1600 x 1200, max view distance, 25% shadows and AI.

1.9 GHz P4
512 meg RDRAM
Geforce 3

P.S.: Has anyone else here fled Morrowind's own forums? Nothing but whiny beeyatches over there. If you dislike a game so much, why bother spending hours posting about it? Any time I don't like a game I remove it from my hard drive and never waste another second thinking about it. Weird people.
