| Problem: 3d prophet 4500 tvout and GOTHIC |

Not work.. when i start gothic, the game start but i not see nothing!!! black screen  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why? I already delete the file logo intro....
P.S.: the computer freeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

1st, why do you think the video card is the problem?
2nd, do you read the FAQ?
just to remind you,
- up-to-date BIOS,
- video driver,
- and sound driver?
if nothing helps, send me an email, with little more information please.

i think who the problem is the video card because when i start gothic.. it's perfect... you can play.. the sound is perfect... but i don't see nothing!!!!!!!!
I update bios... video driver... motherboard driver.. read faq... but nothing!

Try disabling fog in the [GOTHIC]/System/Gothic.ini by setting zFogDisabled=1 in section [RENDERER_D3D].
If this does not fix your problem, have a look at the Direct3D options in the display properties. Look for 'fog table emulation'.

Done... i don't see nothing... i'm crazy! Ok... i think who the problem is the chip.. Kyrio II... there's a patch for fix this problem with this chip... but is in German!!! For German Version... you know this patch.. there's one for italian version??

The Kyro2 patch is for the german version only (the executable asks for the german CD, so it does not work at all).
But the english version (1.08j or 1.08k) includes the changes for Kyro2 chipsets.
I'm running out of ideas at the moment, sorry.
Just make be sure no other program is running while playing, e.g. there known problems with NetMeeting and locking DirectDraw surfaces...
