The band

In the german version of Gothic I heard there was a concert in chapter 2 (which they didn't include in the international versions) I was wondering how this tied in with the story, I mean how can they have a special band in the prison colony? how come they only appeared once? did it involve any missions? etc etc. whatever light you can shed for me

The concert was not tied into the story in any way - you never meet the band again after they have supposedly left for other encampments so we can safely assume they were eaten by wild animals . The cheat guide tells you how to insert the band and have the concert. It actually was just a little promo for the German medieval rock band In Extremo, they played the song 'Herr Mannelig'.
I mean, it was a nice idea, regarding the fact that the competition (German medieval rock band Subway to Sally) had a song ('Accingite vos') in Thief II: Metal Age.

There is no concert in Thief 2, but the Subway to Sally song in question comes from the speakers in Karras' HQ (i.e., the last mission). It's also playing during the credits sequence.

Ok I know that this is off topic, but it pertains to Gothic so instead of posting it in the off topic forum I selected a somewhat dead thread to post this in. Where the hell is this http://newspics.rpgdot.com/imageview.php?dir=gallery/Gothic/Screenshots/&name=nc_attack.jpg

That one's from the alpha version of Gothic IIRC.

It looks like the place that would become the entrance to the Rogue hideout. It's the place where the illegal swampweed makers go after you chase them away.

thats what I thought to begin with, but then I recalled that after you pass the first sentry tower, the terain slopes up not down, I also recall there being a wooden wall there as well. So I don't know, where exactly. Secondly what does IIRC mean? Sorry if it is a newbish question, but I really don't know.

IIRC = if I recall correctly. It's one of the two acronyms I'm using pretty ofthen (the other one is IMO, in my opinion). Sorry if I puzzled you.

The picture is from one of the earlier versions of the game. There are a few of those pics showing unfamiliar stuff, like unknown territory and a blue-clad Diego, for example. The mana and life bars differ from the ones in the final version, and the hero looks more like what became one of the OC gate guards in the retail version.

I am embarrassed, I thought that IIRC was a game version or some such; and I always wanted to know what IMO and IMHO meant but always felt too much like an idiot to ask. Come to think of it I do remember seeing some other "earlier version" pics here as well. Diego had on some blue garb while walking somewhere, and there was this feller dressed up like a Vampire, you know with the whole exaggerated collar thing flipped up kind in the likeness of a 70's porn star would, just larger probably one of those in extremo folks. Speaking of which, does anyone here have a pic of the performance? I know that it is possible to insert the band and have them play some how, but I lack the motivation. So if anyone has it on hand lets get extremo!!! HA GET IT?!?!!..... EXTREM(e)-O aaawww...
