How do you Edit your own char?

How do you edit your own character? I cant see a way to do it with the TES Construction set. I mean like skills and levels. How is it done? Any information is appreciated.

I don't think you can edit your own character with the TES (but I don't know for sure..I don't normally cheat)..but I'm sure some Editors will come out eventually.

Can I ask you WHY you want to cheat? Just ruins the game

Jesus. Being cocky won't get you anywhere. Was I rude? No. Was just curious why you wanted to cheat. And you probably didn't buy it anyways, most people who cheat don't buy games they download them..just my opinion....If you pay for a game why cheat and ruin the experience..

Oh well thats just my feelings...don't have to be a jerk man.

Why I like to cheat.

Hi,

I don't know if the guy who originally posted this will answer you, but I will give you my take on why I cheat at games like these. I did buy the game BTW. I cheat at games like these because, while I enjoy them, I only have so much time and these games can be very challenging if you are not willing to sacrafice a lot of time. I just don't want to sacrafice that much of my time for a game, so I like to use cheats to enjoy the game. Ultimately, it's about having fun, and if you enjoy the game without cheating great for you. However, my experience has been that it is extremely frustrating for me. Thus I cheat.

BTW the other guy was kind of snide towards you. He should have replied in a civil manner.

I agree there are just too many games on too many systems to be able to savor them all like they are bottles of fine wine. There are simply too many things to do in life and so little time to spend all the time that good games deserve.

My take would be play THIS GAME legit without cheats for a long time..that's the beauty of it..the longer it takes you the better...so I still think cheating for those reasons sucks..but that's just my opinon and to each his own..of course.

No I think it is fairer to say that most people who cheat in games are renting the games. Others go across the spectrum of don't have enough time to immerse themselves in the game or want to get past a hard part.

Ok guys come on. Were just talking about people cheating in games by themselves. I could understand if you were getting mad about people cheating in multiplayer online games, but this is just personal. Some games do not deserve the time that we would spend on other games.

Ok, back to topic. YOu CAN'T edit your existing character, at least not yet. You CAN alter the beginning stats for any race quite easily inthe editor, just load the morrowind.esm go to character, and tweak away.

And let me say to the purists, that one of the SELLING points of this game was that you could make it damn near anything you want. Don't beat up someone because he wants to use the tools he's given.

For the record, I'm playing a dark elf, modified slightly. I stuck to exactly the same total attributs and skill points, but shifted their balance a bit, to more match what Ithought a dark elf should be. Is that chaeating? Well, in my book no, but you're welcom to your opinion.

And a freind of mine is testing playable hobbits right now. (Basically by shrinking and stoutening the breton, and switching some of the magic skills for stealth) I s that cheating? I sure as hell don't think so.

Just back off of folks that don't want to play the game the same way you do, ok? that's one of the beauties of an SP only game, we can each play exactly the game we want.

Those things are all well and good, but I doubt that's what the original poster was talking about. Anyways I just said IMO that cheating ruined a game..you don't have to go on a bashfest. Thanks.

I want to be able to edit my own character too. Not to change my attributes or to get 837985739 gold, but to change my sign. I chose Shadow thinking 60 second invis per day was really cool. Then I realized how useless it is since I can steal/buy 500 invis/chameleon potions.
