Cave south of seyda neen... part of main quest?

By chance I ran into a cave south of seyda neen. Assemalu or something similar. Inside I found some Dreamers and Dagoth Hlevul, sorry again im not sure of the name. He had a 6th house amulet.

My Question is will it destroy the main quest by killing him now? Currently I have the Ursul. Camp quest. I wont sell the amulet of course, but when I get the quest to kill this Dagoth Hlevul, if he is endeed part of the main quest, will it still work?

Thx for your time and help!

That cave isn't directly involved with the main quest. It is actually one of like 5 or 6 caves around Morrowind that control the sleepers in the nearby towns. Killing the 6th House boss in each one will free the sleepers in the nearby towns from their "dream". You'll get a reputation bonus from talking to one of the awakened sleepers in town.
