arg nvidia fails me again |
|
I recently purshased my new labtop from dell. With a great graphics package and a fast processor i guessed morrowind and other games would run great. While some games run great Morrowind lacks features like pixel shading. The geforce4 go looked to be a great viedo card but turns out to be pretty crappy. Don't expect expensive nvidia cards like the new mobile geforce go to have features like pixel shading, for 64mb of video ram it's very dissapointing. |

why do you use a laptop to play games.
A pc works much better and is easier to upgrade.
You should use laptops only for word en office programs.
Nothing beeds a pc, otherwise everything would be as small as a laptop. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Is it somekind of MX? Don´t know much about the portable cards, but gf4 mx lacks pixelshading and lots of other oh-so-necessary things... Atleast to my knowing... _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer

I heard that too. I cant see no good reason to but a mx. I have a gf3ti500, and I´m very happy with it. Sure I´ll get more frames with a gf4 4600, but worth the money? Nah... And an mx? Why downgrade? _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer

mx card are budget cards.
They are for showing of, than people can say that they have a geforce 4.
Then you should always ask for there card type. If its mx there cheap.
I still run on a geforce 2 gts 32mb ddr ram.
Card can still handle most things.
I'm waiting for the geforce 5 ti,
until then i stick with my card. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Check your facts, guys:

The cheapest GeForce 4 card is still faster than the best GeForce 2 card. It's a totally new processor that works in a different way. Apparently better way. |

I really doubt that a 32 MB GF4 MX is faster than a 64MB GF2 Ultra, but whatever. _________________ Make good choices. |

To my knowledge there is no laptop card with these features. Probably because there is not much demand for a gaming card in laptops, since laptops are for buisness types mostly. |

Not sure about pixel shading, but ATi is supposed to have the best mobile video card on the market, might want to check it out. |
