| Gothic 2: Night of the Raven - French Version On June 17 |

Thanks to Dagon from <a href="http://www.dagonslair.com/" target="_blank">Dagon's Lair</a> for letting us know that they have learnt via publisher Bigben Interactive that the 'Night of the Raven' expansion for 'Gothic II' is now scheduled for a June 17 release in France. |

They are doing french, italian and spanish versions before of the english version? That's not very common! |

Simple answer for why no English version. ATARI will not give up its regional hold on NotR for UK or USA.
THus, to get around it, a French release that just happens to have the English speaking voices which were recorded originally over 2 years ago, is being released.
So many French people can sell thier extra copies on EBAY to UK and USA, Canada, etc for money.
You can simply copy the addon's English voice.vds file and replace the German one with the English one. Like what was done for the voices pack for Diccuric, using the G2 Modkit.
That is one way to say "Thank You - NOT!" to stubborn ATARI.
Else, buy the French G2 and Add-on and apply a English translation patch to replace the French text, more or less.
I seriously doubt we will ever see an official release of an English full version, least ATARI will play nice.
