Once you get a scroll (ie..fireball) do I actually learn the spell or is it a one time use as long as I have more scrolls? I found fireball in the mine and I've used it until my mana was depleted and now I know longer have the scroll in my inventory. What gives? How can I "learn" the spells if you can? |

Scrolls are one-shot only. Runes will last, and you can use them as long as you have enough mana to do so. You will 'learn' magic (i.e., be able to use runes of higher circles) by being accepted into a community of mages and rising in magic circles.

Scrolls get used up... thus can only be used once. However, you can find/collect/buy as many of one type of scroll as you like. But, ultimately, they'll get used up.
The more permanent solution is with Runes. But you'll have to join a camp first... then learn magic with the Mages or Gurus.
Scroll can be used by anyone at all. Apart from teleportation, runes can only be used by those trained in magic circles. |
