well, if it is working for you that way then that is great, but I would like you to test it the way I have outlined in my post above if you can...that is the only way you can objectively test to see if a multiplier is being generated by training a miscellaneous skill. |

I believe it does... i play a conjurer/fist fighter type of character and none of my major or minor skills have one that majors in str... I usually jump around alot and my acrobatics skill(a strength base skill under my misc) usually goes up at least 1 point before i level... and i always get a X2 multiplier for my strength...
BTW, i think unarmoured sucks... my skill is like 50ish and my AR is 14? man... maybe its time to pile on the armour |

Meck, I'm talking about paid training on miscellaneous skills - I know that if you gain skill in a miscellaneous by practice it effects your multipliers. |

I bought 10 levels of merchantile and got a x5 multiplier when I leveled up. Since that was about two hours later when I was lost as all hell in the ashlands at level 3 with stupid flying pain the butt birds raining on me during an ash storm and I don't even HAVE a personality skill as a major or minor... I leveled up with my block and axe and heavy armor skills exclusively for that level because I was so mixed up and lost.
I do this with magic skills all the time. Buy 10 levels of restoration (a misc) before I hit something with a weapon to push me to the level point. I have no will skills as major or minor but buying a mix of them up to 10 will give me a x5 (or sometimes a x3 or 4. It's a crap shoot... but know it's the paid training doing it because like I said I have no will skills in my primary or secondary...).
Clarify this: "Certain attributes will show a bonus, which is determined by which skills you have increased since you last raised level. So, if you improved several skills that have personality as a governing attribute, then you will see an appropriate bonus multiplier for personality."
I was under the impression that one had to use *different* skills under the same attribute to increase the leveling modifier. Is this not true regardless of whether a skill is major/minor/misc? |
