I was messing around out side the old mine and I closed the gate (Like the dumb ass I am) now I can't open it so is there some way to fix this or should I just fuck it and start a new game. |

Enter marvin mode and press 'k' to teleport forward a few feet past the gate.
Word of advice: Never ever, ever touch a winch unless you have the quest to be in that area.

To access Marvin mode, type 'smarvins' or 'bmarvinb', dpending on whether your character status screen is mapped to the 's' or 'b' key. The word MARVIN should appear on the upper left screen part now. It's the Gothic cheat mode.
To exit Marvin mode, type '42'.
