Dungeon Lords: Review @ GameSpy |
|
GameSpy has posted a review of Heuristic Park's/DreamCatcher's action RPG 'Dungeon Lords'. Rating: 1.5/5.
Dungeon Lords is a mess of a game. Buggy, incomplete and all together boring, it's a huge disappointment for fans that are starving for a fun role-playing game on the PC that doesn't require a fast Internet connection.

At its heart, Dungeon Lords is a throwback to the days when role-playing games were less about an intricate story and more about throwing heroes into an increasingly difficult set of dungeons. The game takes that basic premise and attempts to add flashy graphics and a hands-on mouse-driven combat system. It just doesn't work. The combat is mind numbingly repetitive. A right click of the mouse button defends against attacks and the left mouse button swings your weapon. You have a set of hotkeys for casting spells, using scrolls, and drinking potions. That's about it.
|

hm that sounds stupid. one should probably think of DL, that it is more a "kindof diablo" in 3D. given, its not nearly as polished as diablo, nor does it have random generated levels, but its hack and slay, so live with it! |

That extra .5 is being very generous. Must have been reviewed before they took their forums down.
