The perfect game would be: A game with hundred of cities, with no real line you HAVE to play (your forced into that abit in Gothic).
That almost describes Morrowind to a tee. Let me tell you that, to me, MW is so boring that I'm about ready to quit. I can wander around without direction IRL--why would I need a game to supply that?
As far as I'm concerned, Gothic has nothing to fear from non-linear games. Now that I've been playing MW I realize that non-linear only looks good on paper, freedom is good, complete non-linearity is bad--it makes a game seem pointless. _________________ ''Perhaps I'm old and tired but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. I agree!
The same problem i feel with Daggerfall...
Non linearity doesn't mean always only freedom. _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=

Maybe make sth Fallout-like: when you finish the game you can choose if you want to keep playing(some extra features like the Hintbook in New Reno etc) or not. THAT would be cool, especialy if you can become a lord or baron! |
