I majored in all magic except Encant, and did Unarmored...
   

Breton, no weapon or armor major/minor. I was thinking pure mage, and have played him a little while (still level 1). Is this a template that will go forward, or do I need some armor/weapon skill to succeed? Thanks!

No, it will succeed. As in any rpg, a true wizard is hard at first, but a real bad-ass later on. Make sure you practice your magic alot, and run away from everything melee. Good luck, and have fun.
