? First person combat

As mentioned in another thread I just got the US version of G2. When I played the demo way back, I recall that there was some trick for getting 1st person view in combat -- an unsupported feature. Handy, especially in thick undergrowth. Is that in the shipping game, and if so, how do you activate it? I've forgotten, and searching didn't turn it up.

It was not F (F is first person view, but it reverts when in combat/a dialog). You need to change a line in the Gothic.in (I'm not home right now so I can't search for the corresponding line) to keep first person view fron reverting to 3rd person in combat.

Got it!

Thanks, Jaz -- found it -- it's "zDontSwitchToThirdPerson=1".

I'd looked for it before, but it was pretty well buried among the zs.
