Sony PS3 Still On Track For Spring 2006 Launch - Update @ Wo

Of course, WorthPlaying's Rainier doesn't like to play favorites, so he's also brought us the latest update re the Sony PS3...

Dispite rampant rumors of delay, Sony said on Thursday that it remained on track to roll out its new PlayStation 3 by spring 2006. the timing is of particular importance as the PS3 will include Sony's new Blu-ray next-generation DVD technology. Having the console ready simultaniously as the Blu-ray would mean a great advantage as it provides with an instant large player base.

And as soon as the PS3 becomes available for pre-order in the United States, I'll probably place my order as well - rather than pay inflated store or Ebay prices:-)

Anyone knows if the rumours of the EU release are true? I would rather not wait until '07 to get my hands on a unit, so i'll just have to import it otherwise.
