Another weird Mud encounter

I was just playing Gothic and I got this crazy idea, Mud occasionally tells me that there are guys in/from the new camp who try to beat him up, so I thought that I should take him to the new camp to see maybe something cool happens. As I was nearing the new camp, (saved first) I stubled across a Bloodfly, so I killed it, like always, that coward Mud ran off, but not very far, I caught up with him again and started going towards the new camp again, but as soon as I ran over the Bloodfly's corpse that bastard perve started beating me with he's club, I'd never expected that to happen, for that I killed him of course.So, was that a bug or something or is Mud a Bloodfly enthusiast?

P.S. the next time it didn't work.

Well it's a bug obviously. happens with another character much later in the game also.
