I hate to burst your bubble but that is like the "if a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody to hear does it make a sound" type question. I think the answer is yes - it still makes a sound. Unfortunately, I know I still look the same with the lights out and should there be anybody with IR capability - well they are forewarned .

Whatever.. looks doesn't matter anyway.. I met the most beautiful girl ever at a party and it turned out she was boring.. no humor what-so-ever.. and not nice at all.. noone hardly talked to her that night..

Once again you are lucky I do not have a scanner I so cannot inflict you with a picture of myself, but thanks for the pic, it's nice to put a face to the name. And you look good with long hair. I've grown mine so my cat has something to nest in at night (it's nearly down to my behind).

When you said the hair has gone since then in regards to the photo, did you mean cut, or lost... bald?

Thanks for the big heart comment! I feel good now.

I know what you mean about pretty people sometimes having nothing else going for them. We have a girl at work who does part time modelling and she is so up herself no one attempts to talk to her anymore... and there was this absolutely drool-worthy guy on the train the other week- but then he started picking his nose (it was disgusting)- didn't speak to him to find out what he was like!

I think that's why a lot of Hollywood marriages don't last that long- they are rich and successful and often beautiful, but they have no respect for other people or any idea of how to compromise. and they may even expect people will like them because of their Hollywood status instead of people liking them for who they are. It's not going to work- it's the way you treat people day to day that either have people liking you or disliking you. I think Mel Gibson has done it right. Have a non-acting wife who is happy to have a life and raise the kids while he is away and then he sees them between shoots. He stays out of the public eye except to do movie promotions, so the paparazzi don't bother to follow him around very often anymore, unlike people like Brad and Jen, and Julia Roberts, who they know they can photograph and comment on weight gain or loss or get pictures of an argument and up the sales.

My problem with the lights out theory is if they get close enough they can still feel fat rolls and may mistake me for a sharpe (the rolly dogs), I don't like having my belly scratched. But at least I'd prefer to have some weight than be anorexic. I walk into things alot and my fat gives me padding so I don't bruise as much!

Thank god im not rich or successful! hm..

Couldn't agree with you more there..
I remember when I was younger, everone was like; "your girlfriend looks really good.. Wish I could meet someone that looks like her.." or "I want to marry HER when I get older. she has a great set of ****!"
Now that most of my friends have developed a brain (including myself I would like to think) I hear; "she is really nice" or "she has a good sense of humor"..
I'm not looking for a beauty.. sure it is fun if its for a night but what I look for is someone nice.. or kind is a better word. Someone you could stand living with.. not someone you could stand looking at.

Anyway.. When its thunder outside you want something to grab a hold on

Yep, some of the girls at work who are pretty and really nice are with really horrible boyfriends and whenever the conversation ends, it ends with"he is cute though". And I can't help but think they are so stupid! They could be so happy with someone who loves them and who they love than spending time with a low life who constantly tells them they're fat, ugly, has affairs etc.

My other half is wonderful and I'm grateful he wasn't looking for a beautiful accessory to hang off his arm. He settled for me and we've been really happy together for the last 10 years. My family thinks he's great and I get along well with his family too!

Talking of lightning, there was a storm in the city a couple of months ago, there was heaps of lightning & thunder and it pelted down rain. One of the girls climbed under her desk because she thought the lightning was just outside the window (it was the light in the rotating Planet Hollywood sign). She sat there, under her desk, saying "we're gonna fry" over and over I had to leave so she didn't see me laughing. It was one of the funniest things I have ever had the privilege to witness.

Nice guys do often finish last... girls seem to go for the "bad boys", but always end up heartbroken and with low self-esteem (been there, done that, leant quick).

And I do know what you mean, no she wasn't, she's a really funny Greek girl who we nicknamed Effie because she is exactly like Effie from Acropolis Now! (I hope you have seen this so you know what I am talking about)

@ Val They are good titles, and I know I am nothing special, sorry, just having fun since I haven't been here long enough to remember the old titles. If you want you can change my title to Village Idiot- or Sewerage Worker as punishment if you like (or anything else you deem appropriate).

Nah, ButtofMalmsey already has the Village Idiot title. If I were going to choose a title for you I think I'd pick: His Royal Highness Mr. Pussy Cat's Personal Servant.
How's that?

It's a restaurant run by Greeks and they are the stereotypical hairy, monaro driving, self obsessed Greek Adonis's (or they think they are) and the girls have the stereotypical funny talk, big hair, tight clothes etc. It was very funny and the main guy in the show has done several stage shows on the success. (Sorry, that is really badly written, but I don't know how else to word it... it sounds like the words "and this one time at band camp..." should follow).I apologise for my pathetic use of the english language.

@ Jericho I do not understand your last line my brain is not working properly today. But if you are asking my hair colour it is almost light brown.

And if you haven't found someone who's right it just means there is someone really special you will meet. You'll be intrigued as soon as you meet them, and you'll find them attractive (even if they may be considered plain to others) and you'll feel tingly when you are with her, and lonely when you're not and the thought of her smile or her laugh will make you smile... because she is so special, and she'll feel the same about you. My other half doesn't care that I'm not 16 anymore, that I've put on weight, aged etc. He loves me because he knows me and we connect on so many different levels. I believe there are multiple soul mates on this planet for everyone, and the world is designed so there is one close to where you live. And when you find them, nothing else matters and they consume your thoughts, and just thinking about them makes you feel relaxed and happy. I know there are great things to come for you, I was miserable and depressed until I met my other half, and my perspective on life changed the moment I met him.

@Val. That title does seem appropriate, thank you for not picking something worse.. I can handle the truth... (please no one quote Jack Nicholson- A Few Good Men) and am relieved I am not the only village idiot! You're too nice Val, another great title.

Sorry this was so long. I had a lot of things to say. Thanks.

Well, when you reach 500 posts you'll get to choose your own title and avatar. Until then you're stuck with the standard titles and the avatar you picked from the gallery.
There has only been one instance that I can remember when someone's title and avatar were changed by the admin due to their behavior. Believe me, you are a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine all rolled into one compared to that individual.
Don't worry about being long-winded here. You're in good company.

Really... that sounds fun! But I'm happy with the titles (I certainly couldn't do better), and I don't think your personal servant title will fit in the box, so I think I'll just leave them as is. I may be able to find a new avatar though! There are certainly enough to choose form on the net.

Thanks, at least I'm a life-form or two above pond scum!

You are a big ray of sunshine to me I personally would go the white tiger or the panther, they're my favourites. I think lions can look a big scraggy (except Remus's lion which is very cute ). I also provoked (unintentially) the white tiger at Taronga Zoo. He was right up the back of the enclosure and everyone was standing around complaining they wouldn't see him properly, and I walked up to the glass, and he stood up, stalked up to the glass and roared at me. It was awesome, but I was very grateful for the barrier between us... I think he thought I was the tastiest looking morsel in the buffet! Thought I'd share that in case anyone was interested.
