X2: Recommended Control Scheme |
|
Hi eveyone!
I just bought X2 and I am having problems with the mouse control scheme. I was thinking of buying a decent joystick to use instead.
Can any of you mroe experienced players tell me if this is a good idea, and if so, are there any particular models you recommend?
Thanks _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

The mouse is finicky...I used the keyboard only throughout most of the previous game so that works fine for me. I did buy a joystick for X2; I'm not sure that I find it "better" as a controller but it feels more immersive, I think.
I bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro - not too expensive and fairly well built. Force Feedback is limited in X2 so I wouldn't bother with that. Overall, a joystick is good if you think you'll get the value out of it. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

And if you don't buy your rudder optimization up too much, whereas one light lean on the joystick will send your Nova spinning like Vader's ship in Star Wars after it was winged. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

Ain't that the truth! With the exception of Transports, 'vettes and cap ships I don't do too many engine-tunings and I always save before just in case the result is too sensitive. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |
