So, on to dumb question number 2...and I fear it shall not be my last1
I am having trouble finding Oliver (the one I am supposed to give my emerald to). I found the jeweler guy, but that's not him.
Thanks (and sorry), in advance. |

I think you use it to open a chest. That's the first step of the quest. However if you installed the latest patch you might not be able to do the next or subsequent steps, but you can do the last. That means you have to cheat to find where the last step is done. So read the walk through or cheat sheets. They'll tell you where to use the emerald too. I forget what level, but I think it is the one where you rescue the child, just a bit north of the room that triggers the priests to start the sacrifice.

Emerald and Oliver (Spoiler?) |
|
You have to read the message on the wall in the tavern upstrairs behind Enoil, on the wall. You will not find Oliver, just the clues to his Quest. If you get too frustrated with this stuff, download the PDF file in the support files section. It is a walkthrough, but it is more of a guide. I used it by referring to it after I finished a section so I could be sure I did it right, then hit the save button. The one problem with this game is there are few ingame helpers to keep you on the right track, and no way to know if you blow something until it's too late. I hope they improve that in Arx II. Hope this helps, and if you don't want to use the PDF file, the people here are more than glad to help. Have fun. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=
