| Can't advance any more in Blades, where tf is an NPC? |

Caius has been gone for a hell of a long time. I rule all the guilds. I finally was able to enroll in the Temple, which is my last 'big organization' to dominate as far as I can tell. I'm about to beat the main quest.
And I STILL haven't found anyone who can help me advance in the Blades.
Is it possible to keep advancing without Caius? Did I do something that triggered his leaving?
I can't find any reference to this issue on any of the boards (when, that is, I the boards are actually up and working... Bethesda, get your damned Forum taken care of before I go ballistic... surely you expected there to be TRAFFIC on your boards after Morrowind was released? Instead it's down far more than it's up) and it's pretty frustrating.

Looking back through my journal (now is that ever a chore finding pertinent information weeks later... damn you Bethesda for inserting more content than God in your games!), it appears to have happened after the mission curing my corprus disease at Tel Fyr, at which point I'm made an Operative and left at that.
Odds are that this is as high as one can go on Morrowind, considering the head of the Blades would logically have to be located smack dab back in the capital of the Empire as opposed to out in the fontier boondocks like Morrowind, but I have no way of knowing this to be fact.
Has anyone advanced past Operative in the Blades in Morrowind? |

You can advance if your skills are high enough before Caius leaves. By the time he left I was an operative

He will only advance you to operative, he doesn't seem to come back after yu kill off dagoth. One of the guys standing at the side of Duke Dren seems to be a blade guy, and there are several out in the wilderness, I'm looking for more blades too to advance |
