IF you are trying to be an archer as primary, there are enough points to be level 2 (highest you can be) at both bow and crossbow. IF you are trying to be the best at bow, crossbow, 1H weapon, 2H weapon and magic - then no, there isn't enough. Crossbow does more damage, bow is faster - decide which you prefer.

I have finished the game with both.
They both seem to do the same job. As long as your dexterity goes to the max either will do.
Theroticaly, the Crossbow is a Guards weapon. The Bow is a Rangers weapon. But no matter what you are you can do either or none. If you decide to be a Magician or Templar, your magic can be used long range like a bow/crossbow. Therefore you do not need to spend skill points on dexterity or training.
Only diference I noticed was at the end. You can get a Crossbow of war, 100 damage or the best Bow is 88 damage.
Either weapon is great once mastered and have enough dexterity.
But you still need to master 1h and 2h weapons also. |
